ArchiGEM, Ponte in Valtellina (Sondrio district), Italy

Gerola Mobili manufactured the custom-made furniture and interior wood components. The focal piece of the work is the staircase which is made out of oak timber and polychromatic glass. The flight of steps revolves around a square-sectioned support with bookshelves and finishes on a little balcony which can be used as reading area. Wood and glass partition walls separate the staircase from the rooms situated on the ground floor. This partition system includes hinged and sliding doors. As for the kitchen (false ceiling, portal and infill panels), Gerola Mobili’s own craftsmen converted and remodelled mass-produced furniture units. Gerola Mobili also fitted out the living room, the three bathrooms and the home libraries.
